RTP ALN Open Space: The Pandemic and Onward

February 19, 2021 By Anurag Shrivastava

The Raleigh Durham (RTP – Research Triangle Park) Chapter of the Agile Leadership Network is hosting our annual OpenSpace Conference. This year the conference is coordinated with the Agile20Reflect Festival.

Our organizing theme is “The Pandemic and Onward.” For many in technology, remote working and distributed teams are familiar territory. In other business sectors, like financial and manufacturing, the pandemic isolation has been a disruption. For personal services and hospitality, its been nothing short of a disaster.

Outside of business, the pandemic has turned the modern dilemma of a person who is “alone in a crowd” into a person who is “in a crowd alone.” Our contact with others is mediated through apps and telecommunication devices. At one time we have never been more connected while being so apart.

And, yet, we see adaptation, innovation, and change: theaters stream live performances and musicians sell concerts from their living rooms; Zoom has become synonymous with on-line conferencing with families and friends; schools consider a future where there are no more snow days.

How has the pandemic disrupted the workplace? What role has Agile played in the response to the disruption? Which of these changes are lasting? What does the Future of Work look like after the pandemic has ended?

Join us to explore the past, present, and future of Agile through the lens of the global pandemic and our response to it.

How to deliver an Agile Project in time (In Russian)

February 18, 2021 By Anurag Shrivastava

At the meeting, you will learn how to deliver Agile projects on time, taking into account the high uncertainty and limited resources. It will be about applying the Pulse Management method (Method) – in the context of moving from already configured Agile processes to delivering projects on time throughout the company.

We will look at the main problems in Agile projects and simple ways to fix them using the Method.

Agile Playground A la découverte du Manifeste Agile

February 16, 2021 By Anurag Shrivastava

18:30 : Check-in

Our speaker Jim Highsmith is a co-author of the Agile Manifesto, a founding member of The Agile Alliance, coauthor of the Declaration of Interdependence for project leaders, and cofounder and first president of the Agile Leadership Network.

If you have been wondering:
Did the Agile movement start in February 2001 with the publishing of the Agile Manifesto?
What really happened at Snowbird in 2001?
What came before the manifesto?
Was the evolution of agile driven by or drive business changes?
Why has the agile movement persisted for 20 years?
How will the consequences of the pandemic impact the agile movement?
What is the future of agility?

…Let’s explore.

Join Jim Highsmith and the DC Lean+Agile Meetup for an hour of discussion about the past, present, and future of the agile movement.
