
Meet our Ambassador for Scotland Craig Cockburn
Craig Cockburn (“coburn”) started his career as a software engineer before progressing into test management, project management and programme management. During this time he wrote the UK’s first guide to getting online, is credited with inventing an early browser and appears on the credits for HTML. An early adopter of remote working, Craig wrote a research paper on this practice in the early 1990s. He was Programme manager on a delivery for Southwark council which won IT Project of the Year from the British Computer Society and worked across the UK, Scottish and Northern Irish public sectors, including close collaboration with strategic communications in Downing Street.
During the last 10 years, Craig has specialised more on helping clients with agile delivery and transformations in the public and private sectors with a particular emphasis on banking and finance. During this time Craig has completed a diploma in digital leadership with distinction, obtained multiple certifications in enterprise agile and received an acknowledgement in Agendashift by Mike Burrows. He is a Chartered Fellow of both the British Computer Society and Chartered Management Institute.
Craig is based in Edinburgh, Scotland and has recently spoken at a number of conferences and events including Agile Tour London, Lean Agile Exchange and Coaching Agile Journeys on visualising strategy in a complex landscape and innovative learning practices
