Agile20Reflect Festival event submission deadline extended to 27th of January

January 15, 2021 By Karl Smith

The words 'passion led us here' on a pavement with the shoes of two people looking at it

Due to the overwhelming response and to support the formations of new regional organisations in South America, Africa and Asia the Trustees have agreed to extend the deadline for event submissions to the 27th of January for the Agile20Reflect Festival Calendar.

“When we first has the idea to do the Agile 20 reflect festival we did not know if we had enough time or if in the middle of a pandemic people would have the energy to get involved. After our experiment has started we know that people are excited to be involved and have a real desire for connection in these dark days.” Scott Seivwright CEO and Trustee.

The Agile20Reflect Festival currently has over 200 events taking place in February 2021, in celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the signing of the Agile Manifesto. They cover diverse subjects from Agile outside of Technology to Agile HR, Agile Transformation from Nepal to Sydney and Peru to Kazakhstan in every time zone in every day of February 2021.

“What has been put together here is astonishing, people have been able to shrug off the terrible experience of this time and focus on a Celebration of Agile. past, present and future, one that brings us all together under a common purpose to make things better for everyone. While scaling the Festival to support a Global Community of Agile Practitioners, Clients and the Curious has been daunting at times it has worked through excitement, goodwill and not power, very much like Agile does.” Karl Smith CTO and Trustee.

Viaje de Sudamérica en el Festival Mundial de Agilidad

January 11, 2021 By Karl Smith

Agile20Reflect Festival Festival Comunidad Given

Jorge Ulsen R.
Embajador de Sudamérica

Enthusiasm, commitment, joy is what has prevailed the most in the South American team to be an active part of the world’s largest Agility Festival “Agile20 Reflect”.

Almost 3 months ago this human team began to be formed, first of ambassadors and then, gradually, spekers from Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay, etc., were added.

Along the way, there have been some challenges, decisions to make, situations to resolve; however, by encouraging principles of the Festival such as Autonomy, Flexibility, Inclusion and Self-management, we have managed to advance and build not only professional relationships, but also to build new friendships that we hope will be preserved over time.

Despite differences in language, cultures, time zones, visions, etc. this has not been an impediment to meet and interact with people from different parts of the world (Scotland, USA, India, Nigeria, Sweden, France, Spain…). In fact, it has been a privilege and an honor to have the opportunity to cross borders, learn from others, complement the visions and meet beautiful people in our region and the world, who are not only passionate about Agility, but also seek to build a better society.

Certainly all the progress that has had the region of South America have been the result of the ambassadors who have participated more actively with enthusiasm and commitment to push this great event, and speakers that have been added. A great recognition for all of them.
