Forming Agile20Reflect Festival

Welcome Folks! This is the first Global Community led Agile Festival!

And as we learn how to do this we want to explain why it’s not a conference so here goes…

At our Free Agile Festival you can host, or do anything that you want at any time in February 2021. Co-badge it with us and we will advertise your event or activity on our central programme and we will keep a copy of your event or research for people that are unable to attend to make use of free in the future.

It’s a simple idea, come be creative and share your passion! In our world community party!!!

Our watch words are – Curiosity, Collaboration, Community, Humanity, Dialogue and Fun!

Scott Seivwright - Festival Director and Trustee
Scott Seivwright Agile20Reflect Festival, Festival Director and TrusteeScott is an Agile Coach working with software teams, he lives in Scotland. He has been know to use Kanban, Scrum, PSK, Open Space, SAFe, Cynefin, Heart of Agile, Clean Language, Flow, Agendashift, and has experience of most methodologies (have not yet used Xscale or Nexus) but is non-allegiant over methods. He believes in the power of invitation and respecting people. Also in challenging systemic barriers and is part of the Be More Pirate Movement – He loves their Manifesto too. He is passionate about people, inclusion, equality and creating awesome places where we can learn from each other. Previously, he has led digital and modernisation programs valued in the multi-billions, created Digital Apps and led huge teams.

He does prefer embedding and coaching small teams in 1:1 settings. He is a full stack Agile coach from User to opps. He spends his time encouraging others to create things, talk at events and overcome their imposter syndrome and helps to make a more inclusive and vibrant Agile Community. (Current hobby learning how to be a fun grassroots Festival Director.)

Karl Smith - Chief Technology Officer and Trustee
Karl Smith Agile20Reflect Festival CTO and TrusteeHe has been a consultant and innovator in Business Transformation and Human Centred Design since 1989 and in Agile since 2004 involved in supporting both business and technology in the adoption of Customer Centricity and Agility. His recent focus has been on combining HCD and Agile in Enterprise Agile Portfolio management as an extension of SAFe. This was delivered in the NatWest Group from Business through to IT, Retail Banking and Commercial Banking Transformation with 88,000 staff.

Karl Smith is a Fellow of the British Computer Society FBCS, a member by invitation of BCS ELITE the CIO & CTO group and European CIO Association and has supported various Westminster Parliamentary Groups since 2003. He regularly speaks at conferences on a myriad of subjects Agile, HCD, IoT, Blockchain and Social Media including speaking in the House of Lords on Fake News.

He has worked globally and loves to travel and meet new people as his focus has always been people “My desire was not to build things that humans already do but to find out how technology could evolve our human experience.”

Grace Johnson - World Ambassador Facilitator and Trustee
Grace Johnson Agile20Reflect Festival World Ambassador Facilitator and Trustee Grace is a Nigerian and lives in the city of Lagos, Nigeria. She has worked mostly as a Project Manager for close to five years in the housing sector. She started off working to deliver social housing in 2014, where Grace and her team successfully delivered a prototype of social housing in a State in Nigeria. They went on to record successes with some other states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, securing Lands without financial cost to the organisation, as one of their fundamental approaches to delivering social housing. She moved on at the end of 2015, away from social housing, focusing on all things leading to the production of sustainable housing; a housing approach focused on using sustainable materials in the housing production process. Being that power supply was and still is a major challenge in Nigeria, they focused on the use of solar as a major source of energy and an important theme in the design and construction of houses for their clients. Grace’s duties quickly changed overtime to Interfacing with investors, the government of states in Nigeria and clients.

Grace is a PMI certified project manager, with a Master of Science in project management and a first degree in urban and regional planning. The year 2020 has been a defining year for her, as it has allowed her to transit to the agile space. Her current focus is on all things agile and digital transformation. She is currently in the process of becoming a certified Scrum Master.

Yusuf Dean - Trustee
Yusuf Dean Agile20Reflect Festival TrusteeYusuf is a generalist consultant, with a 25 year track record in using systems theory, complexity and Agile to help clients transform & change, from small startups to global giants that create our wealth, fuel our economies and have products in all our homes. Coming from a background on bank trading floors and consulting companies has allowed him to see the good, bad and amazing of getting things done, together with the methods and techniques that actually work in the real world. A realisation that great CEO’s and leaders empower first has shifted more and more of his thinking to the Agile way of operating, with the strong belief that no problem is insurmountable if we understand that ten brains are better than one. He works with the singular drive that Agile is a human movement, not a mechanical method, and we must embrace learning and change to sustain this.

Shelby Wilson is a coach, facilitator, teacher and inspirer, and also loves when people break out into song!!

Her current focus is improving leadership teams through insightful facilitation and organisation coaching. Helping them unknot difficult, multiple departments problems within the finance world and more recently working in the insurance realm. She is passionate about helping organisations transform, to improve service delivery to customers, and improve the working lives of people within the organisation.

Her other focus is community of practices and speaks regularly around the uk on this to highlight how important people are to each other and ways of working. She is passionate about the people side of change, and focused on bringing meaningful change into organisations that will improve the lives of people.

She holds an alphabet spaghetti of certifications but believes that people are always the way forward

Anurag Shrivastava - Digital Content Lead and Trustee
Anurag Shrivastava Agile20Reflect Festival Digital Content Lead and TrusteeAnurag is an Agile enthusiast with almost 14+ years of Software Management, Program Execution & Delivery and Agile Transformation experience. Adept at creating, leading and managing Agile teams in distributed setup. He has worn multiple hats in an Agile team – most recently worked as a Scrum Master mentoring and coaching geographically spread Agile teams.

Anurag is pursuing an Executive MBA from the Indian School of Business and loves to volunteer for National and International events and meetups. He was a flag marshal at the Formula 1 Indian GP in 2012 and 2013 and a Communication Marshal at the RUN Norwich race in the UK. Marina Arefyeva - Ambassador and Trustee
Marina Arefyeva Agile20Reflect Festival Ambassador and TrusteeMarina is an agile coach and community builder with 10+ years experience, working on creating an awesome and inclusive new agile community across all Russia.

She experiments and pilots agile ways of working in companies and government structures that are new to working with agile ways of working. She has experience in hiring internal scrum masters and agile coaches from her own school alumnus. This network has made a huge impact and great change in the organisations.
