Is the Agile Manifesto Still Fit for Purpose?

February 15 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm GMT

Virtual Event

It’s been nearly 20 years since 17 software engineers got together for a weekend in a ski resort. The aim was to understand how they could change their ways of working to help them deliver software more effectively. The result was the Agile Manifesto.

Since then, many organisations have been inspired by the benefits of Agile. The promise of shorter lead times, better alignment between IT and business, and improved staff morale. Many businesses have therefore tried to adopt the Agile way.

We will ask the questions:

What have these organisations discovered?
Have all the benefits they expected been realised?
Are these ways of working as radically different as they expected?
How has the Agile Manifesto withstood nearly 20 years of use in the ‘real world’?
We’ve gathered a panel of experts, including one of the original signatories to hear their experiences. We’ll ask whether their changes have worked and most importantly what lessons they have learned.

We would like to invite you to hear their lessons and perhaps reflect on a few of your own.

Speakers:
David Smith, Agile Coach, BJSS.
Arie van Bennekum, Co-author, Agile Manifesto.
Helen Meek, Agile Coach, Ripplerock.
Chris Stone, Delivery Manager, The Rank Group.
Robin Hyman, Agile Coach, BJSS.
