Disciplined Agile; the Evolution of PMI

Priya Patra and other notable speakers who were first Project Managers and PMI Chapter members from Africa, South America, Europe will take turns to tell their journey to Agility and field questions from the Audience.

Disciplined Agile; the Evolution of PMI

At this event we shall have the honor, of listening to a presentation from the Vice President and Chief Scientist of Disciplined Agile at PMI, of PMI’s journey to Disciplined Agile. The Presentation centers on the necessity for Disciplined Agile, especially from PMI. We hope to know more on ways in which a Project Manager can better fit in a world that daily emphasizes the need for workplace Agility and for Project Managers to be more Agile.
Priya Patra who is an Agile Evangelist and other notable Speakers who were first project Managers and PMI Chapter members from other world regions, will take turns to tell their journey to Agility and the challenges they may have encountered.
Audience: All work and business professionals are invited to join this event. This is an opportunity to know more about Agile, the journey to being Agile and Adopting workplace Agility. You will have an opportunity to ask the Speakers questions and get answers from them.
The workplace and businesses have experienced a dramatic shift in the past one year. This largely has been occasioned by the worldwide pandemic. Agility has been taunted as the answer to thrive in the new workplace. This event is expected to add to our knowledge of Agility and help us better thrive as Agilists in our work places and businesses

Scott W. Ambler
Scott is the Vice President, Chief Scientist of Disciplined Agile at Project Management Institute. Scott leads the evolution of the Disciplined Agile (DA) tool kit and is an international keynote speaker. Scott is the (co)-creator of the Disciplined Agile (DA) tool kit as well as the Agile Modeling (AM) and Agile Data (AD) methodologies. He is the (co-)author of several books, including Choose Your WoW!, An Executive’s Guide to the Disciplined Agile Framework, Refactoring Databases, Agile Modeling, Agile Database Techniques, and The Object Primer 3rd Edition. Scott blogs regularly at ProjectManagement.com and he can be contacted via pmi.org.

Muhammad Jamil
Muhammad is a PMP® certified Project Manager (IT Domain) with 13+ years of hands-on development and management experience in wide range of technologies. CSP-SM, ACSM and CSM certified agile Scrum Master with all three top Scrum Master certifications, solid experience in agile practices and agile transformation. Possesses great leadership, coaching, mentoring and facilitation skills to enable change and promote agile principles in the organization.

Amanda Zarate
Amanda has 13 years of experience as a Project Manager, currently in the roles of Senior Analyst for PMO and Agile Facilitator for TMO at Logicalis LATAM
With training in Electronic Engineering, Amanda has the PMP, PMI-ACP, PMI-PBA certifications of the Project Management Institute, CDA and CDAP of Disciplined Agile (PMI) as well as others such as ITIL V3, DevOps Foundations, Data Ops, Kanban, Scrum Master, Product Owner, Design Thinking and Data Science Foundations.

Ezekiel Odero

Ezekiel is an Agile Delivery & Quality Assurance professional with experience working in East and West Africa. He is experienced with coaching and leading teams on transformations in the financial industry having led a major organizational change in an insurance company resulting in three distinct companies and played a key role in Agile adoption and scaling at a large bank as a new way of work which is now accepted and practised organization-wide. He’s also led delivery of multiple, concurrent Agile initiatives in banking as well as regulatory changes such as Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA). He enjoys driving strategy delivery, focusing on the big picture with a keen eye on the details; besides sharing, and learning from diverse experiences.
