LAN’s February 2021 Meetup features “Leadership: When Good Intentions Backfire’
presented by Tricia Broderick
LAN is proud to be part of the ‘Agile 20 Reflect’ Global Community-led Agile Festival!
Do any of these statements sound familiar: “My team is not stepping up”, “I have to make sure nothing falls through the cracks”, or “I just want to be able to take a day off”. In my early leadership days, I frequently thought and sometimes said out loud these very sentiments.
In Agile, many aspects are centered around empowerment. Yet, leaders are rarely taught the additional skills needed to lead knowledge workers. Instead, too often, leaders’ good intentions backfire in foster high performing teams.
Join this session to examine three very common leadership beliefs that despite good intentions are misguided and hindering the desired goal.
