Justin Trudeau, the Prime Minister of Canada, famously stated at his address to the World Economic Forum is 2018 that “The pace of change has never been this fast, and yet in the future it will never be this slow again.”

The question then is – do the current change management frameworks enable us to meet this rapidly changing environment. The simple answer is a resounding NO – the traditional change management models have been linear in nature and are drawn out over a period of time that means that the environment we are operating in is now different to the one that we started the change journey in.

Rita McGrath highlights that we are working with outdated tools and assumptions and this is underlined even further by the expanded view of Martecs Law below that postulates that the speed of innovation change has been exponential and this has not been matched by the management systems change which, at best, has been logarithmic – meaning that we have not changed how we manage our businesses much over the past 3 decades or so.

It is for this purpose that we developed the Rapid Change Agility™ (RCA) Framework. The RCA is an approach and process to enable change adaptability that underpins the relevance of people collaboration and alignment as inputs to business rapid change cycles, fostering continuous learning.
