About the talk by Shalini Thirunilathil
“Do you follow agile and still feel something is missing?“ Need some useful tips? Join the talk – “Embracing an agile mindset”.
Shalini will take you through the journey of agile evolution and the key challenges in adopting agile. As part of the presentation, she will be sharing useful tips for both scrum teams and leadership teams to embrace an agile mindset, considering key aspects such as personal characteristics, behaviours, and emotional intelligence.

About the Speaker:
My first entry into the technical market was as a Graduate Software Developer at Civica. I gradually worked my way up the ladder with established firms like Proactis, Springer Nature, SAP, IBM, O2, LexisNexis and IRIS playing diverse roles as Junior Tester, Senior Tester, Test Lead, Test Manager, Software Engineering Manager and Scrum Master.
13 years of IT industry experience working with amazing individuals and teams churned my personality to who I am today making me the finalist for Computing Women in IT excellence awards for the Role model of the year in IT category 2019.

About the talk by Charles-Louis de Maere
Twenty years after the “Manifesto for Agile Software Development” was written, let’s take a look at how this has changed the world.
And what better way to observe that than to come with our own stories, our own experiences, and share them back for the world to hear?

How are the values and principles reflected in the way we interact with one another? And in a world hit by the COVID-pandemic with lockdowns all over the place, what would be your take on “The most efficient and effective method of conveying information to and within a development team is face-to-face conversation.”?

About the Speaker:
Charles-Louis loves bringing people together and seeing what happens when they “tune in” together. He started his journey towards agility (or sense-making) around 2009, and worked in different contexts and companies which provided him with perspectives to make sense of the work we do. He learned Scrum by doing, as a Scrum Master together with his team. They started from the guide and discovered the beauty of Inspect and Adapt.
As a visual facilitator, Charles-Louis loves making the hidden things visible, using pictorial language to uncover our understanding of things. Stories are another option for bringing sensitive topics to the surface, and he has recently started to explore this topic through his self-development practice.
